New Insights in the Skin – non–invasive diagnosis of skin cancer
Forum Sanitas, the Medical Magazine for patients and consumers in Germany wanting to know the latest innovations in medicine, has a lead article by VivoSight OCT user Professor Julia Welzel, Head of Dermatology at Augsburg Klinikum in the spring 2014 issue.
The title of the article is “New Insights in the Skin – non–invasive diagnosis of skin cancer”, the article concludes that “OCT is particularly suitable for the early detection of basal cell carcinoma , to investigate the invasiveness of actinic keratoses in field cancerization, for the determination of tumor thickness and extent, to determine the optimal therapy and for monitoring non-surgical therapies”.
